There are two fishing lakes onsite that are owned by Lakeside Lodge Golf and Country Club. These are managed by the Fen Fly Fishing Club and comprise of a Trout Fishing Lake and a Coarse Fishing Lake. Please note the fishing lakes are available to residents only. They are open from dawn until dusk.
Night fishing is not allowed.
This lake is stocked regularly with Rainbow Trout between 1.5lb and 2lb in weight.
There are several jetties and large areas of grassy banks all available to the angler with ample room for the back cast. Fishing is limited to dawn until dusk. Parking is in a car parking area next to the water. Fishing is by permit only, obtained from the Golf Club Reception at £30.00 per day. This ticket includes the taking of three fish, but no catch and release is allowed. All catch returns to be posted into the post box at the fishing lodge.
This is a smaller lake situated just above the Trout lake, with access being from the fishery car park along a 50m track to the bank side. Here there are two jetties and several other swims. A total of nine different swims are located around the lake. This lake holds a good head of Carp up to about 18lb together with many smaller species. This is not a commercial fishery, keep nets are not to be used and no night fishing is allowed. Fishing is limited to dawn until dusk. Permits are again obtained from the Golf Club Reception priced at £10.00 per day.
