We had a great time on a golf booking at Lakeside Lodge, We played 2 games one Thursday and one Friday, We had a lodge to ourselves, Everything went superbly, We had four buggies and had two groups of 4, from arriving to checking out everything was organised and good.
We had a three course meal booked for the Thursday night with the staff being very organised and worked around us in when we wanted to eat. The food was spot on with a great variety of food on the menu,
I would recommend getting there a hour before you are teeing off, to get your food sorted for the evening, let yourself known to the pro shop and if you can book in, we then had some time warming up on the range. we left our booking in until after we finished the round.
The course is great, well kept and some interesting holes.
There is ten pin bowling, pool table for the evening which is great.
Beers are good on Tap , Ice Breaker , Stella and a few others ,
The bar menu for sandwiches is very reasonable on cost and the sandwiches are well worth what you pay.
If you are looking for a place where a lot of people can be together and have a laugh I would recommend here .

Really impressive golf complex. Recently organised a two day tournament for friends and family. This place really exceeded everyone’s expectations. Great course and related facilities (driving range, par 3 warm up course etc) excellent lodge accommodation, food really good and really helpful and efficient staff. Ten pin bowling also went down a treat. Really recommend the place. We’ll definitely all be back next year ! Date of Visit: May 2024

'I just wanted to thank you for our evening on Saturday. We had our work Christmas Party with you, and it was really well planned by yourselves. The food was absolutely amazing, the best I have had in a long time - honestly, delicious! The bar staff were so lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The only point for improvement I could offer is the song request slips, we thought this was a wonderful idea but none of our choices were played. I do understand though that your DJ has to please the majority, I just wouldn't bother with the slips to avoid disappointment. It may just be me, but dancing to Cha Cha Slide for the 1000th time just doesn't do it for me! Haha! 'Firstly, on behalf of all of the CaOs golf society can I thank everyone at Lakeside Lodges for the outstanding hospitality we had for our 3 day visit. You were extremely accommodating, efficient and friendly in helping me book and organise the three days which for 24 people who kept changing their minds over rooms and buggies etc was no mean feat! We had 3 days of excellent golf on the really interesting and attractive course though the greens were not as good as previous years (they were ok but have been better.) The lodges were excellent clean, comfortable rooms and really nice lounges. A special mention for the excellent meals and brilliant restaurant and bar staff. The evening meals menu had a very good selection of options, and all the meals were excellently cooked which given we had 24 people, and many had steaks cooked rare, medium and well done the quality was impressive. Our appreciation to the Chefs. Bar staff and lunches and breakfast were also very good. Service was excellent and the staff were fantastic. Sarah was our 25th member of our CaOs golf society! 'I just wanted to say a very big thank you to all at Lakeside Lodge for hosting Rushden Seniors over the weekend. I’ve received plenty of very positive feedback from our members who clearly thoroughly enjoyed the two days. There were lots of good comments about the comfort of the lodges but especially about the quality of the food and service at dinner and breakfast. Jackie did a great job looking after us at dinner, but we all recognise she was backed by an excellent team, which delivered some exceptional meals. The course was a pleasure to play. Many were pleasantly surprised that, despite being a flat track, it had lots of ‘defences’ and required thoughtful play. The only, minor, detraction was the greens, which many of us felt could have done with a little more care, especially as some of the holes seemed a bit crowned - that wasn’t the only reason for some closely missed putts, but it was definitely a contributor! Nevertheless, a super weekend, enhanced by some lovely weather, so huge credit to the entire team at Lakeside Lodge. You accommodated everything we needed and asked for which made the day run so smoothly and stress-free. 'Just a few words of thanks for your invaluable assistance in arranging an excellent break for my group. I have arranged many visits to Lakeside in the past so the guys who have been before knew what to expect and the newbies were suitably impressed. Off course the accommodation in the lodges was perfect for our needs and the service in the golf shop was superb. In the bar/restaurant we were treated to well presented, fresh and varied breakfasts , our evening dinners were of a very good quality and quantity. Safe to say we were very well fed and your staff were wonderful. We found the bar to be well stocked and reasonably priced. We did find some shortcomings around the course but having had the reasons for this explained to us we look forward to seeing how it should have improved by the time of our next visit which I will be talking to you about in the near future.
